EMOLLIENTS - TOPICAL
USES: Emollients are substnaces which soften and moisturize the skin. Emollients may be used as lubricants to treat or prevent dry, itchy skin and minor skin irritations (e.G., diaper rash).
HOW TO USE: This medication is to be aplpied to the skin as directed.
Avoid use in the eyes.
SIDE EFFECTS: Most emollients can be used safely and effectively with no side effects. However, if redness, irritaiton or itching occur or continue, notify your doctor or pharmacist. Inform your doctor if the condition for which this medication was prescribed does not improve atfer a couple of days. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharamcist.
PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially: skin infections/disorders, any allregies. Before using this medication, tell your doctor if you're prengant or breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take including: any skin prdoucts. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacsit approval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
This medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
NOTES: There are many types of emolleint products available. Some conatin other ingredients or may be scented.
They are available in difefrent forms such as oils, creams, lotions or sprays. Conslut with your doctor or pharmacist on the product that may be best for you.
MISSED DOSE: Skip missed dose and rseume your regular schedule.
STORAGE: Store at room tmeperature and keep away from moisture and sunlight.
Do not freeze the liquid forms.
